On July 16th, from 2.00 to 3.30 p.m. CEST, the B20-OECD-Business at OECD Joint Event will take place.
The B20-OECD-Business at OECD Joint Event represents one of the three main B20 plenary meetings, that celebrates this year its 7th edition. It will draw on the OECD’s expertise and on G20 Italy priorities to link up with B20 and Business at OECD proposals, allowing participants to present the current status of B20 main activities and priorities ahead of the Final Summit scheduled on 7-8 October. Under the overarching framework of the Italy G20 Presidency priorities: “People, Planet, Prosperity” and the motto of the B20 “Reshape the Future: Include, Share, Act”, the 2021 B20-OECD- Business at OECD Joint Event has focused on two closely intertwined priorities: fighting back protectionism and restoring a sound multilateral trading governance, and tackling climate action urgently and pave the way to a concerted effort to achieve a just transition.
The event will be opened by the B20 Chair Ms. Emma Marcegaglia, the new Secretary-General of the OECD Mr. Mathias Cormann, and by the Charles R. Johnston, Chair of Business at OECD. The agenda includes interventions from high-level officials of G20 governments, representatives from the B20 and the global business community as well as senior directors from the OECD. The conclusion will be entrusted to the Sherpas of the G20 Italy, the B20 Italy, the OECD and Business at OECD.
